Questions Answered
Everything you might be wondering.
No. You can book directly with us - a referral is not required. If you have any recent scans or reports, do bring them along, but they're not essential for your first visit.
Not at all. IDD Therapy is designed to be gentle and deeply relaxing. Most patients feel a comfortable stretching sensation and many actually fall asleep during their session. It is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment.
This depends entirely on your condition and its severity. Some patients feel significant relief within a few osteopathy sessions; disc-related conditions treated with IDD Therapy typically follow a structured course of 20 treatments, with an initial course of 12 also available. We'll give you an honest, clear plan after your assessment.
Yes. Our osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and we are an accredited IDD Therapy Disc Clinic. We maintain the highest standards of clinical practice and continuing professional development.
Osteopathy is covered by most major private health insurers, including Aviva, Cigna, Vitality, Healix, WPA and Simply Health. We recommend checking with your provider regarding your specific policy. We can provide the receipts you'll need to claim.
Your first visit lasts around 45-60 minutes. We'll take a detailed case history, carry out a thorough physical examination, explain our findings in plain language, and begin treatment where appropriate. You'll leave with a clear understanding of your condition and a plan forward.
